Example Window Case Study

The homeowner wanted a fresh, clean look that would improve both energy efficiency and soundproofing.

Project Details

Following a detailed home survey, we recommended replacing all existing windows with custom-made, white uPVC casement windows featuring A-rated glazing for maximum thermal performance. To help reduce external noise, we incorporated acoustic-enhancing double glazing where appropriate — particularly for the front-facing rooms near a busy road.

Key features of the installation included:

  • Multi-chambered, energy-efficient uPVC frames

  • Sealed double-glazed units with noise-reducing properties

  • Georgian bar detailing to preserve the home’s original charm

  • Obscure glass in bathrooms for privacy

  • Trickle vents to maintain healthy airflow

  • Child safety restrictors for upper floor windows

The project involved six windows in total, including a large bay window at the front of the home. The installation was completed over two days with minimal disruption, and all old materials were removed and recycled.

The Impact

The new windows have had a significant impact on both comfort and appearance. The homeowner reported a noticeable difference in room temperature and a dramatic reduction in traffic noise. The crisp white frames gave the home a much brighter, more modern feel — inside and out.

I couldn’t be happier with the results

The new windows have made such a difference — the house feels warmer and quieter, and the design really suits the look of the home. The Walkers team were polite, tidy, and professional throughout. Highly recommend!
